Just cut the grass

and while going about my business a question entered my head

Why do they cut the grass after a game

On many occasions after the game when the discussion is going on in the studio at the ground you can see several men with lawnmowers cutting the grass on the pitch

I'm sure their is good reason why anybody know the answer
