I think the majority of "new" UKIP supporters have seen over the last few years the demise of Greece, Ireland, Portugal, now Malta... and see the Euro as something to drag you down, whuilst Germany gets stronger and stronger (financially) and defo calls the shots. Coupled with the well publicised Brussels "bans bendy bannanas" which has been at the back of these voters minds before hand has resulted in mass fear of europe.
