More of a lack of confidence than laziness.

I liked him but his tendency not to go for the ball was frustrating because I knew how good he could be when he did have it. When the fans are on your case every game and you read the negative criticism about you, it's easy for that to be self-perpetuating. Sadly, he wasn't good enough because he'd believed he wasn't good enough.

I hope he comes good at Leeds.
