Not just for the sake of arguing but ....

Man City only had 10 players, all the games you mention were at home. We were hardly competitive against Chelsea away. Also I don't get all this negativity against Hughton especially in respect of how we struggle without Bassong. Of course we struggle without him, but that's because he's one of the best defenders we've ever had (certainly the highest profile and a signal of intent from Hughton). He deserves credit for having signed a player of such quality and significantly improving the defence as a result. Unfortunately we can't afford a full team of players of his quality on his wages at present. Stay up this season and I believe we'll see more players of his quality as hughton can clearly spot a player but at present has to operate with what is available, which unfortunately isn't the same quality as Liverpool.
