Is it true that players out on loan can't be ..

Removed from a 25 man squad?? If so we may struggle to sign anyone in January unless we are able to release a few on permanent transfers. Our 25 man squad is full. Martin & Lappin are both out on loan and named in the squad but will anybody buy them??
