Just to put the counter view. Devil's advocate and all that

I'd be willing to make a small wager that, over the remaining games of this season, we'll score fewer goals than we did over the final same number of games last year.

But I'd also bet that we'll concede fewer than last season, too.

Would you agree that both those things are pretty likely?

If so, why?

(note - not saying this is a bad, or good, thing.)
