sounds like she could claim unfair dismissal. Does she have any witnesses at work that would back her up? Doesn't seem to be enough evidence to dismiss her on the face of it but she needs to consult an employment advisor. I would suggest, a trip to your local CAB and ask to speak to an Employment Advisor. It's a free service. We have an Employment Advisor here but 200 miles from Nodge.
Either that or contact her Union if she was in one.
There is a time limit of 3 months to make claim and she would have had to have worked for employer for at least two years [used to be one year before Tories came in].
