You end up putting weight back on as your body adjusts to the lower calorie limit. Carbs are what are needed to watch for weight loss really. Carbs help create the enzymes/cells that store the excess fat that your body doesn't use. Obviously you need to eat a certain amount of fat as your body needs it. Low carb diets are the best for weight loss as you lose more body fat than other diets. This is what my physician told me anyway. It's a loose description on my part but you can read up on it elsewhere if you wish. Another side note to the low carb diet is that it's also useful to take some multivitamins.
