I used to like hockey but I was a short fat kid

Hockey was the spring term sport at my grammar school but those of us left over after the teams were picked ended up playing volleyball in the gym. So instead of playing an active sport that might have got me fitter, even if I wasn't very good, I never developed the habit of wanting to be active.
