Competitive sport - my arse!
Its not competitive sport kids need but any sport! Making it competitive just means resources will be heaped on the good kids and the poorer ones left to do there own thing.
I'm a very keen cyclist - doing lots of long distance stuff but never been in a race in my life (except the Gas Hill Gasp last year) - its just me aiming to maintain the standards I've set myself. Just like the London Marathon which isnt competive except for the 12 or so up front with an earthly chance - but its still a massive sporting achievement for the 39,888 others!
Rip that to shreds then!
