ahh, done this loads of times. I felt 2 cracks when I did ligaments

Dunno if you have access, or can, but you'd be amazed how fast this would heal if you went swimming, and used a pull board (so just swam without kicking). The joint would naturally move without you knowing

I borrowed my sisters aerobic step, and dangled the foot off that for a few days. A recliner would do the same

The swelling is making it more than it is. You'll be ok getting about in a couple of days time, just a lot slower than usual
