Yeah, that's my main point really

if this is purely all about the extra year then get a f**king grip. If he's still banging in goals in a year's time then he'll probably get another year. If not, he won't. Clearly he and his agent want the extra security because neither of them are sure he'll still be up to it in 2+ years' time - yet they expect us to underwrite that and because we've said no they've thrown a whole lorry-load of toys out of the pram.
