Then there's the fact he might come out and not finish his degree, slip into further crime

Just to balance it up, if he didn't get such a hard punishment there is a chance he could have gone on from his racist twitter burst, to actually doing it in real life, then go on to hate crimes etc.

Like I say, just balancing it out...
