Also thought about the waste of money it is, and how the guy might get 'what he deserves' in prison = more cost in secure cell protection

Then there's the fact he might come out and not finish his degree, slip into further crime. At that point money will be ploughed into putting him on schemes to rehabilitate him, to stop him committing more dangerous crimes

Then he'll commit a devastating crime, and you'll see a post on here "anyone remember that dick on twitter, well he's only gone and x x heinous act"

Not saying he should just get away with it, but reaction sentencing like that which pleases people in the short term, could cost the tax payer hundreds of thousands
