Players Are "Too Fit"

Simplistically, they are all tuned up to be like Ferraris-very fit and finely toned, but, the merest snag or fault renders them to be quite useless.

Back in the 70's/80's, players were still "fit" but not so scientifically so-they were fit as in the sort of fitness you get by running 10 miles a day and eating raw steak and eggs! So, still fit but touger at the same time.

When Liverpool won the title in the early eighties, one season, they used 14 players, all season! Chelsea have used about 30 already this season!

I think the lightweight carpet slippers that masquerade as boots these days also have a lot to do with the foot and ankle injuries.
