It can have any number of wireless sensors linked to it - either motion detectors, door/window opening sensors, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms.
And you can set it to night-mode which means that none of the interior movement sensors are on, but the external door/window alarms are on so if a bogle tries to break in it goes off.
When it goes off it dials into a central monitoring place, who then make automatic calls to numbers that you set-up. There's a ?5 a month subscription to pay for that though.
