There's probably recourse for a stiffer penalty especially if they emerge as newco

Rangers haven't paid any PAYE or NIC since Craig Whyte took over in April: 9million quid in all (bigger than Hearts annual turnover). In that time they have awarded players improved contracts and signed Sone Aluko. It is cheating pure and simple. If the HMRC tribunal goes against them then they will have been cheating like that for at least 10 years during which time they have won countless trophies.
