If PL wants to keep him he needs to get in soon

he`s in the last 6 months of his contract so effectively can now talk to anyone. if we get him and stay up we have a player who has gained valueable premier league experience.
If we go down he`ll be top quality in the Champs

it also frees up one of the loan spots
