Or at least, there is no need to announce it. Announcing it is part of the same problem - the need to get a reaction or to generate interest, further discussion.

I used to get so completely worked up by perceived slights or (what I saw as) unreasonableness that I became utterly unreasonable in the process. I was absolutely determined to win and be right! I thought I was being a force for good when often I was acting boorishly.
