sounds as pointless as.......

a visit to the C&G 2 years ago when obtaining a mortgage (my third in 10 years!) - on the appointment to see the mortgage advisor the woman there had obviously come off a training course, took a blank bit of paper, drew a box one side and wrote "BANK" in it, drew a box with a rectagle for a "roof" and wrote "HOUSE" in it..... then went on to explain that a mortgage was borrowing money from a "bank" (pointing at the box with "BANK" written on it, to buy a house (pointing at the box with rectangle roof with the word "HOUSE" written on it.

I announced that "that was fine and I now had an urgent appointment to go to". within 6 hours I obtained a really decent fixed mortgage at a competitor for 5 years at 0.5% above the then base rate!
