I would say yes...because...

1. He wouldn't count towards our 25 players

2. He can play Wes' position in the diamond, I'm not sure we have anyone else who can do that, meaning it's about the only position we DON'T have covered.

3. He can play upfront if we do have some kind of injury crisis.

4. He clearly loved it here and has been tweeting on a fairly regular basis asking about us and saying how much he loved it here. That could be regarded as a come and get me plea way before this most recent article.

5. He's a current Spain U-20 international. Lambert proves time and time again his ability to get the very best out of players. If we can get him for ?2-3m then just imagine his potential value if he does develop further under Lambert. That value could double/treble quite easily at his current age, so even as a long term investment he'd be great for us.

6. He wants to come here, he knows the players, he talks to them on the phone still, he'd further improve what we have and ensure we have even extra strength in depth.

7. Everything he ever tweets is always positive, determined and he is quite possible one of the most polite, well mannered and appreciative footballers out there. He perfectly suits the kind of player Lambert would normally go for, I just hope Lambert takes a punt on him as long as it doesn't mean blowing more than ?3m.

I'd love it if we were to get him, so I'll be keeping everything crossed personally that it happens.

Do I dare suggest that he now realises we can't get him on loan, hence him pushing harder to leave permanently so that he can still come back here? Probably just a coincidence, but I think he wants to come back here a hell of a lot and I hope he does!
