Revisionist history......

We were totally buried at the bottom when GR took over.

He shook up the club and at one stage we even started talking about the playoffs.

When he took over he was left a terrible squad by Grant and little money to do anything about it.

In the 2nd season he lost most of the defence through injury and made some loan signings that never worked out.

Roeder without a doubt is an obnoxious bastard which means the crowd puts up with it while we are winning but soon turns when things dont go right.

Peter Grant was pretty clueless but to be fair admitted it quickly and quit to at least give a new manager a chance at turning things around.

Bryan Gunn took on a hugely difficult job, he may have been pretty clueless in terms of experience but lets not forget in Paul Lambert's first job at Livingstone he totally s**t the bed and walked.

Yes even God isnt perfect........

Bryan made a few bad signings but he also made some really good ones too.
Grant Holt and Cody McDonald to name two who have been worth at least 10 times what he paid for them to this club.

Even players like Nelson were great squad players at the level he bought them at (LG1)

Personally I think Gunn gets too hard a time.

Everyone can agree he was out of his depth though.

Other managers have had the luxury of making their mistakes at smaller venues.

We can slate Gunny for his managerial ability because of lack of experience but he did make some shrewd buys while spending very little money.
