Anyway, were they in or out?

Easiest way of doing this, is to mock up the event like an old age cat would die, but the scenario is the weather instead of old age

What I mean is, cat's act weirdly to anything that isn't what they're used to. If a cat's about to die, they'll often beg to go out and scarper, and then you find them in someone elses garden

Two ways of blagging your story here, is to say that you went round at the weekend, and one of them shot out, whilst the other one was just hungry

Say you checked again a day, but it didn't come home, you went looking, and found it locally.
