It's quite a hard process

I usually reformat and wipe pc's by loading a new OS on (ie, in the setup of a new system, you get the option to delete the c drive, and then create a new partition for the c drive, thus wiping it)

If you could get a vista disc (cos you've got the key on the sticker on the back), you could boot the machine from the optical drive, and go through the setup and delete the c drive partition, giving you a fresh install

Could get a cheap xp disc off ebay and load xp on. Or the other way, upgrade to 7, and wipe the c drive in installation with either of those operating systems
