I like to look at old gadgets and see if they can achieve the same thing. The other night I just converted an episode of my name is earl to 3gp, because I'd forgotten my player
I stuck it on an old ericsson and plugged in the hands free, and it played fine
When you think that's just a unit that's worth £30, it's still performing something the iphone boasts
I saw the LG Arena for £60 on ebay the other day, and it technically has all the features of the iphone, but probably has some faults (gonna guess the battery is shot like early touchscreen phones)
I still might get one, regardless of it being a phone, it will be an app based, large screened multimedia unit, that will be like having an iphone once you've worked out how to use it
That's probably my long winded response to the ipad. It's probably, about £500 more than a bit of homework on another brands technology, which can do the same thing
Or summit
