There were a few games in 76-77 that were over 30,000. Most packed game I ever went to was a 1-1 draw with stoke in 86, when the Barclay middle pen was shut. We won the league that day and it was a relief to get onto the pitch. I actually feared for my life that day. There were times I nearly passed out and being only a lad my feet didn't touch the ground for a lot of the game
