A full Barclay with the bit filled in between the fans was scary.

When I started going in the 70s one of my first games was QPR, when we denied them the league (1976). Over 30,000 then. I was with my dad in the City stand and, if I remember correctly, the seats were wooden benches with little dividing marks.
