Exactly. It was never an award for a city with culture,

rather one for the city that most needs culture, without being derogotry to Derry.

Liverpool, a city that I love, did not get it's award for what it had, although it did have a huge amount to offer, but more for how it could benefit the city, and it has massively. The award didn't really bring much that was new, except loads of flats and NCFC4Life, but it opened up the city and changed people's bigotted views.
