I have fond memories of the 78 WC for the same reason, Fuzzy haired and fuzzy images of Peru shagging Scotland with a kit that I've loved ever since. Holland's incredibly blurred orange socks in the brilliant 3-2 loss to the sweaties etc etc. Not to mention the fact that the commentators sounded like they were speaking to us from the moon.

Nowadays though the pictures are so good from anywhere and the commentary is so clear that its lost it's mystery. Sad. Bring back fuzzy, blurred football matches I say
