Vietnam & Cambodia........the must see places:
!) The Ancient civilisation of Ankor Wat in Cambodia. Now overgrown & jungleified but once an Ancient city with a population of over two million.
2) The bustling city of Ho Chi Minh. Capital City of Vietnam with lots to see & great nightlife & old French colonial buildings
3) Bay of a thousand Islands, South Vienam for white sand beaches, fine talcum powder like sand that doesn't ever get hot underfoot, Limestone Karst islands, canoe through caves into blue lagoons in the centre. Some of the best snorkelling & scuba sites in the world.
4)North of Ho Chi Minh, if you are not claustraphibic visit some of the Khymer rouge network of tunnels used during the Vietman war.
5) Anywhere on the east coast, See the pacific rollers & learn to surf at resoerts set up by Aussie backpackers.
6) More temperate climate in the north up in the mountains near the chinese border great hiking country.
7) The mekong river, take a three day cruise.
