ouch, my Brother did similar about 30 years ago - now virtually a cripple

I'm sure technology has moved on since then but
he was in hospital for about 6 weeks - ops, traction etc then knee bent in plaster, sling round neck for about 6 months - all muscle wasted so his legs were odd after the plaster came off big nasty weeping scars for a couple of years now Athur Rightus type pains walks with limp never played much sport again apart from Golf.
