No it is a tricky one

but everything is a political issue in the end. I just checked - Louisiana voted overwhelmingly republican, and this shambles is what they get for it. Their choice. They supported spending billions on an illegal war in Iraq - presumably because they thought it would keep the price of gas down. Any financial aid is indirectly financing that war. They voted for a policy that has sent 3,000 members of the Louisiana national guard to Iraq. If they need numbers on the ground let them ask for them when every american crusader is out of Iraq. If the outside world helps them out this time - then it just means that the Bush adminisration and its succesors can carry on in their own evil way. And in the end that will mean much more death and heartbreak than is going on now, because it will be never-ending.
