except that Bridge'd asked his bezzie mate Terry to go round there

to have a word with her on his behalf in the hope that Terry could persuade the mother of his child, what he'd been living with and everything, to give it another go

whereas really Terry was just laughing behind Bridge's back and getting the kid to call daddy and stuffs
