firstly

City awarded 23 playing contracts since relegation, when they knew that their income was going to fall. As I believe the club are still running at a loss it is clear that the new board have not cut income to match expenditure.

Second, the club have said that promotion will see the wage bill rise by 35 per cent (we don't know if this sum incluldes new deals / replacements for our big earners whose deals end this summer; namely JC, Doc, Rusty & McV). So even when we are continually running at a loss the trend of wage-increases goes on.

What really cheeses me off is that NCFC can predict, pretty accurately, their annual income, and yet they still overspend it on a regular basis.

The gamble paid off in 03/04, agreed; but it singularly failed to pay off in 05/06, 06/07, 07/08 and 08/09. So why are we still rolling the dice?
