Unfortunately they've changed the way sky player is licensed, and you need to have multiroom to watch live TV on your computer.

I don't have multiroom, so I don't bother with it, but if I did, I could still watch on-demand stuff like movies or episodes of Homes Under the FUCKING Hammer.

What you need to do is sign up for a My Sky account on the sky website - you#ll need your viewing card number for that.

Once you've got that, you just log into the Sky Player site with your My Sky account credentials, and you get to choose what channels to watch and that - it presents the shows in a Silverlight player imbedded in the webpage.
