techy help re Skyplayer?

I don't know if anyone can help me.

My dad is a Sky subscriber and I am trying to help him setup his skyplayer via the internet so he can watch tv on his laptop.

has anyone ever done this? How do I start?

If anyone can help I would be appreciative.
