Because then there's no deterrent for crazy armed police to think before they

shoot. I'm not really talking about the Menezes case in particular, just in general. I have had too many friends get stitched up by corruption within the police force, cover ups and no accountability for their actions. Compensation is all a family has when the police have f**ked up becuase they certainly won't get any kind of justice
