that's all very well

but this is altogether different. This is a spilt second "can you see through 5 players in the box?" moment, the ref can't be held responsible for not seeing EVERYTHING. Similarly the linesman can't see from the other side of the pitch if Gallas and the keeper and the goalposts are in the way.
