Two of Worthy's first signings were Drury and Holt, both of which were pretty good. His signings for the 2001-2002 season (Emblen, Libbra, Easton, Rivers, Crichton from memory) didn't end up being our key players, but none of them (Emblen, perpetually injured, aside) were disasters.
Then you just had Heckingbottom and Briggs - little risk and little return - before the 2003-2004 signings - Edworthy, Francis, Huckerby, Svensson and McKenzie - all of which were very good signings. (I think he signed Jim Brennan too, but he was free, and I always thought he got a bit of a raw deal. Anyway.)
