Possible theory

Haven't posted or looked at this board for a while but was thinking about the current situation. Think the timing of the sacking was very poor. We must have one of the only clubs who have sacked managers following a 5-0 win(Mike Walker in 97) and obviously Gunn following 4-0. Anyway, could it be possible that Lambert had a say in some of our transfers this summer, im thinking Stephen Hughes who was hardly used by Gunn and also Holt(who Colchester also wanted to sign).
