although I think that's something of an opportunity

there is probably some real talent that once upon a time would have made it into at least the fringes of a top club that is now seeking its chances at non-league (QD is probably an example) or Brentford say rather than Chelsea. I've always believed that bar the very top players a lot of success is due to being in the right place rather than the level of talent. I reckon if you swapped an average championship player with a Blue square player for a couple of games you wouldn't see much difference (subject to fitness levels only).
