I used to love this place when i was small

and went back a couple of years ago with children and family.

EasyJet do a flight from Stanstead to Nantes which is about an hour away.

My fave was the Dordogne area though (Souillac/Sarlat). Loads to do, almost guaranteed good weather, plenty of houses to rent. Don't know about flights to the area, and it's a fair old drive.
