Wanted: holiday destination (not Bristol)

About nine of us need to find somewhere which fits the following criteria:

- cheap flights
- possible to rent cottage for one or two weeks in August (ten days ideal but that's not likely as they'll want whole weeks)
- cheap cost of living while over there
- stuff for kids to do
- (need to rent a minibus but you can do that most places)

Any recommendations?
