I was expecting a time closer to 80mins so to finish in what I did I was made up. After the first 1.5km when we hit that slight hill I could feel my shins burning. I kept telling myself to keep going to at least halfway before I slow right down to almost walking. Got to halfway and was feeling great. My shins had stopped and I was flying. Although my right ankle/foot went completely numb inbetween 6-7km. That felt weird! The last stretch though on that straight I was running well, pure adrenaline though towards the last 800m. As soon as I saw the finish line I sprinted. I was buzzing after that. I always used to find running mundane but after doing that yesterday, it was brilliant. The atmosphere was superb and I really enjoyed it. I'm definitely doing it again and I'll probably do the Sheffield one too!
