New manager

you see I don't think there's a 'right' answer. Done inexperienced - Gunn/Grant - not worked. Done slightly experienced but with a bad track record - (worthington) - worked but then didn't work. Done experienced with mixed record - Roeder - didn't work. Done experienced with decent record - Rioch - didn't work.

People are suggesting Tilson - got Southend up - good, took Southend down again straightaway - not good.

Boothroyd - got Watford up somewhat flukily - good, played terrible football and didn't get them anywhere after that - not good.

Holloway - up and down like the fiddler's elbow.

Go up a notch - say Curbishley. How good is his track record? Took Charlton beyond their level but not done much else since.

Dowie - amazing run with Palarse and did well with whoever it was before then (although left before any notched up achievements) - but bugger all since.

Robins - not much more experience than Gunn as far as I can work out - but hailed because Rotherham managed to haul themselves out of their points deduction. But that to me is just another 'one swallow' situation rather than a full old summer.

I think we have to accept that very few managers bring consistent success; those that do tend to have money backing and that ANYONE is going to be a huge punt. And bearing in mind that that ANYONE is going to be running a third divisoin club that pretty much is going to be rebuilt from scratch as the previous disastrous appointments have managed to acquire somewhere between zero and five players of any standard - and that I reckon even if we get investment it will be more of the sort that you'd expect to get a third divsion club for rather than someone wanting to make Norwich a premiership outfit again - then I am, totally stumped.
