If you send an email to an incorrect address, it's not your hotmail that chucks it back at

you, it's the email server of the address you sent it to.

So, if you mean to send an email to joe@porkandcheese.com, but you type jooe@porkandcheese.com, your email will get to the porkandcheese.com server, which will say "I don't know of an account for jooe, I'#ll send this back to the lackwit that sent it."

However, if you typed joe@porkandcheeses.com, and there wasn't any email server at the domain porkandcheeses.com, or if that domain didn't even exist, you might not get a message back.

So it all depends, really.
