yeah ali says in his autobiography that..

joe louis and jack johnson were his biggest inspiration and he ranked them two has the greatest ever.. louis probably is in my opinion.. his record still stands for the most title defences in the heavy weight division.. i think it was 25 over 140 months or something (yes i am am big into boxing lol)
