Yet, if that money was available, why were we tinkering, and tapping at Iversen like it was a game of cat and mouse, when it was the actual target striker Roeder definitely wanted. We should have gone straight in there and got him the man he wanted, no buts, no sibierskis and corts, the man he wanted, end of
But like the Taylor thing, the reality is, the board chickened off, and rathered, as usual with managers down the years, that we go get the Jim Whitley's instead of the Jeffs, the Alex Notman's instead of Healy's, and the Zema Abbeys instead of the Lua Lua's etc etc
And the Leon McKenzies instead of Peter Crouch's
We've always done it, we always will do it, and it's a shocking way to run a club, and it's the reason we're in such shocking times now
