What 'continuity is better than constant new managers' means is that in an ideal world, you do not sack your manager every 14 months because you are on the edge of relegation.

In order to achieve this desirable continuity, you have management who (a) are good with money, so the manager of one of the best supported clubs in the dvision doesn't have to shop in the footballing equivalent of Poundland; and (b) are good at attracting (see (a)) and then appointing good managers.

But I don't expect you to take any notice of this.
