You want the board to have more say in the footballing side? So the manager comes to them and says "I want this guy called Killen, I really think he could be good for us, our scouts have seen him and reckon he's worth a punt" and you want a board member to say "No, I've never heard of him, I'm not having that, sorry" and we don't sign him? What's the point in hiring a manager/scout if you don't let them get on with it?
